The U series 5-axis double column machining centers are designed for high precision finishing of parts of all sizes, especially die/mold, aerospace, and medical work. The one-piece double column structure is rigid enough for roughing yet has the speed and acceleration for finishing, over 35 components are hand scraped for fit, and the tilting rotary table is made from a high strength alloy. The UA400 runs the Fanuc 0i Plus control; the U400, U600, and U800 run the Heidenhain TNC 640.
