CNC Service Engineer

About the role

MASCO has sold and serviced CNC machine tools in Southern California since 1938. Our service engineers keep customers' machines running: installing new machines, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control problems in the field. You will work out of our City of Industry facility and travel to customer shops across Southern California.

What you will do

• Install and commission new CNC machine tools at customer sites, including leveling, alignment, and startup.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on the machines we sell and service.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control faults, and carry out the repair.
• Work with our applications and parts teams so the right part and the right fix arrive the first time.
• Document each visit clearly so the customer and the office know what was done and what comes next.
• Show customer operators and maintenance staff how to care for their machines.

What you bring

• Experience servicing CNC machine tools in the field, such as machining centers or lathes.
• The ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and diagnose from them.
• Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, and the willingness to learn the controls on the lines we carry.
• A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel to customer sites across Southern California.
• Clear communication with customers under pressure, and the judgment to know when to call for help.
