Seibu's ultra precision wire EDMs hold ±1 µm pitch accuracy and take wire down to 0.002 in (0.05 mm). They share the frames of the high precision machines and add the accuracy and finish control needed for die and mold work that would otherwise go to jig grinding.
Specifications for the Seibu MM75B are listed below in imperial and metric, both as published by Seibu America. It runs Seibu's Smart NC control with 5 controlled axes, 4 of them simultaneous, and a 0.01 µm least input increment. Seibu machines are sold and supported in Southern California by MASCO.
